Firstly, I know it's been so long since I update but HEY, I went to Johor last week so hehe.
Anyways, it's like about time I blog about this event thing. This event (I remember briefly talking about it in my earlier posts) was a really tiring event, you have to run everywhere and do the missions, but the most important is the final location.
The first location was at Choa Chu Kang CC, so the challenge was to balance 9 nails on an eraser WITH ONLY ONE NAIL TOUCHING THE ERASER. (I think it's 9, I forgot) It seems impossible. LITERALLY. We went to google and youtube for like solutions. Plus, I was shaking like really, I can't hold a nail without shaking. So then we found a video. It's insane. IT'S REALLY DIFFICULT.
Just watch it guys. It's so hard to do especially when you have shaky hands. It's just kind of impossible. But NOOO, the team beside us actually manage to succeed. Impressive huh. So what we did was er really, very creative? You know how eraser has that paper wrapper around it? Yeah we took that and placed it on top of the eraser. Then, we poke a nail at the middle of the eraser and the paper. Then, we stuff all the rest of the nails in the paper. Smart right? If you can even understand. Gahhh. We barely succeeded.
Just look at me. I feel fat.
After that we went to is Keat Hong Shopping Mall. So what we were supposed to do was to pick 2 members and eat a packet of chips (kind of small) within 1 minute. Woah, so first it looks easy and simple, BUT IT'S NOT. My team we chose the 2 guys (Edwin & Jovan) Well, Jovan kind of cheated by eating a few before they started. But oh well, they did not eat finish anyways. So if you failed that, then there's another mission. It's to find 2 public people to help us to do erm how do you say it. ERRRR.
Paper. Just paper.
So next we went to HOLD ON WAIT. TRYING TO RECALL. Really bad memory. Erm, I forgot. Wait errr. I am guessing, it's the Teck Whye Shopping Mall? So well I remember the mission though. It was to find someone there in the "market" and sing to them the lyrics and they have to guess the song title. So well, Edwin did the singing. And it. was. HILARIOUS. So there's 3 categories and we had to pick 1 song from each category. So there's the english, chinese and children categories. We chose Call Me Maybe, Tian Mi Mi, and the Banana Song. So we were looking everywhere (not really) for someone who has potential in guessing. So we walked around, THEN ME BEING SMART, AND HAVING SENSITIVE EARS (I don't think I have though) I HEARD 22 SANG BY TAYLOR SWIFT MUSIC. Obviously, when someone listens to that, WOULD OBVIOUSLY KNOW THE SONGS THAT WE HAVE. So we chose this male in his 20s? Well, the singing was abit off, but OH WELL, he is great in guessing. I have to say, if it was me, I would take 10 years to think of the answer.
So easily we passed that round. Then we went to Yew Tee Point. You guys might think oh it's just near by! OH HELL NO. WE WALKED FROM CCKCC TO KEAT HONG SHOPPING MALL THEN TO CCK PARK THEN BACK TO TECK WHYE SHOPPING MALL. AND YEW TEE POINT WAS NOT NEAR AT ALL. We then decided to walk to Yew Tee Point. What a tiring choice.
So our mission this time was to "eat" the train. It means you have to stand somewhere where the train will be entering your mouth. So the point is that the person eating it should be near the camera. So we reached Yew Tee MRT, BUT THEN, they called. They said that we have to go to the Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex BEFORE WE GO YEW TEE. Darn it! We have reached. For God's sake. So well we reached, and what we were suppose to do was to have this little general knowledge quiz. So when they ask the question, the person who is going to answer have to press the bell and raise the sign if it's true or false. If the answer is correct someone will go up the stairs, but if it's wrong, one person who went up should come down. It's okay if you don't understand though, I don't really understand myself.
So for this mission, WE BARELY PASSED. The correct answers just came out during the last few moments. So then we went back to Yew Tee and well Edwin ate the train. Looked really funny though, it's like the train is smashing his whole face. BAHAHHAHAHHA. ANYWAYS, when we reached Yew Tee Point, we first ate our lunch. ME BEING A KIND SOUL, TREATED MY FELLOW TEAM MATES DRINKS. TADAH. Actually I was just too lazy to get the money back from them. Oh whatever. So after eating, we had to guess how many people would come out of the Yew Tee Point's door within 30 seconds in like choices. So it's like 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20. Get it wrong and you will have to do 5 squats. IT'S NOTHING REALLY, COMPARED TO HOW MY ENGLISH TEACHER, MS LEE PUNISHES US WITH LIKE TEN THOUSAND SQUATS. Gahhhh I miss her punishments. So well we guessed wrongly once then the second try we got it right YAY. The challenge after that was to jump. LUCKY ME, I BARELY HAD ANY APPETITE FOR LUNCH SO I ATE QUITE LITTLE. We had to jump in where the camera points and it's really HIGH.
HAHHAHHA THEY LOOK FUNNY DON'T THEY. Well, so SOMEHOW we succeeded, then after that we had another challenge, it was to ask like 2 public people to take a picture with us but we had to pose with this huge statue and we have to find a spot where the camera can see our head. Well, we asked an angmoh WHO IS REALLY FRIENDLY. (MY IDEA BY THE WAY, to get the angmoh, I just had to take credits for that hahaha) I asked her if she could take a picture with us, she was like SURE! SEE FRIENDLY ANOT? Well then, we succeeded, at first attempt. Kind of proud. The jumping one we took like FOREVER.
SO LIKE A FINALLY, WE CAN MOVE ON TO THE FINAL LOCATION.
It was at Regent Secondary School. Firstly, when we reached there, THEY SAID WE WERE THE 6 GROUP TO REACH OUT OF 21. HELLO? BE PROUD. So we had 5 minutes rest before we continue with the bonus mission. What this mission is to find 1 man in 10 blocks or something and HE COULD GO UP. LIKE WTF.
So well, we split up (WE WERE LIKE THE ONLY TEAM WHO KEEP SPLITTING UP) and we could not find anything thing. Well then we saw this girl who climbed up the stairs. First of all, she climbed up confidently, like she knew he was there, and she was smiling. Okay so, YUP MAJOR SUSPICION. Well, Yun Xuan and I followed her to the 4th floor, AND WE SAW THE GUY. WOOHOO. So now, we had to get our team back. We keep calling them and asking them where are they telling them to rush here, WHICH TOOK THEM LIKE 1000 YEARS TO REACH OR SOMETHING. But well in the end, Yun Xuan and I went to look for that guy first. So well we got our bonus money for the last round. Yay.
BACK TO REGENT SECONDARY SCHOOL.
So while waiting for your teams to compete in the other teams, you would take turns with other teams to play dodgeball or just sit at the hall. I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND MYSELF SOMETIMES. So well, it's like Row A gets to start the final mission, then Row B will go play dodgeball. Then when Row A & B is back, Row C will start the final mission while Row D goes for dodgeball. COMPRENDO? Hmm, spanish and french just sounds so interesting. WELL SO I AM ROW D, so when Row A came back from the mission, the guy said that they were rough so they keep changing the rules. GAHH. But whatever dodgeball was first. SO FIRSTLY THE OTHER 3 TEAMS IN ROW D WERE FREAKING FIT. When I mean fit, HO HO HO I MEAN FREAKING MUSCULAR. So for our team we totally just stood there like an idoit while the other 3 teams were fighting among themselves.
So from what I saw, THEY WERE ROUGH ALRIGHT. AT THE SECOND ROUND SOMEONE THREW THE BALL AT MY HEAD. DAMN. Well, I got the ball, but I did not dare to throw it HEHE. SHY MA. I just passed it to my other team mates. FOR THE THIRD ROUND, WE ALLY WITH THE TEAM BESIDE US. They said something which was really erm weird. "We are not that childish to betray right?" EARLIER WE WERE THINKING OF BETRAYING. GAHHH. Our team was practically out within like 2 minutes or something. Well, so we just went back to the hall and wait for our turn to play the final mission.
Well, before that the other Kranji Secondary team keeps asking us to win, WHICH WAS PRESSURING. Because one, YOU ARE PINNING ALL YOUR HOPES ON US. Two, we know it's impossible to win ESPECIALLY IN OUR ROW HELLO? So we just hoped you know maybe we accomplish like something or find until something. BUT OH NO SISTER, APPARENTLY BEFORE 5 MINUTES WAS OVER TEAM 2 CLEAR THE WHOLE THING. I did not even see what was going on. WTF? So well, it just ended like that. SADLY. BUT HEY, I still had fun. I mean WE. Before we were dismissed, we took a photo for like TONS OF CAMERAS. I did not give mine though because they have a facebook page for a reason! This year, my christmas was spent DIFFERENTLY from how I would usually spend it. Well, usually I would go back to KL, Malaysia and visit all my relatives there. THIS TIME, I went to Johor and my grandparents even came from KL. LIKE WOAH. They rarely leaves their area. So well, this year, I did something special to my friends, I wrote long text messages WELL FOR SOME OF YOU. FOR THE REST, I DID NOT FORGET YOU IT'S JUST THAT I WAS REALLY IN A RUSH AND I HAD TO GO. FOR EXAMPLE, SHAUNA, JIAYI, ETCETC. My parents were kind of forcing me to leave house in the middle of typing to someone. WHAT'S SAD IS THAT, I had to wish them an advanced merry christmas as there won't be any wifi there. Hmph sad.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: ON CHRISTMAS, I DRANK WHITE WINE. And it tastes like shit. I rather drink red wine. HEH
BY THE WAY IF YOU GUYS DO NOT KNOW, YUNXUAN LIKE A FINALLY WROTE ME A LONG MESSAGE AND I WILL POST IT HERE FOR MEMORY. And I practically died laughing at the end of the message.
